Larissa Hollier (Director/Speech Pathologist)

What are your favourite things about being a Speechie?

I love seeing that “ah-ha” moment when a child’s eyes light up and they know they can do something new. 

My favourite food?

Ice cream, Thai food and lasagne - always a fav!  

Why do you like working with children and young people?

Kids are such fun to work with. It’s wonderful getting to know carers and families and feeling like you are making a difference to the child and their family’s daily life.   

What's your favourite joke?

What do you call a pony with a sore throat? A little horse

What do you love to do in your spare time?

Reading, baking, knitting, bike riding, spending time with friends and family.        


Claire (Speech Pathologist)

What are your favourite things about being a Speechie?

My favourite things about being a speechie are being able to provide services in a variety of settings (school, home, clinic) and getting to work with children and adults of all ages and with a wide range of communication difficulties. 

Favourite book?

My favourite book is "Inferno" by Dan Brown. 

Favourite food?

My favourite food is Chicken Laksa. 

Why do you like working with children and young people? 

I love working with children and young people because it is extremely rewarding helping  them to be able to express themselves and become more confident communicators.

What days do you work? 

I work Tuesday to Friday. 

What's your favourite joke?

What did the farmer say when he found a cow on his roof? Get Down. 

What do you love to do in your spare time?     

In my spare time, I love to go to the movies, the gym and have zoom calls with my family in Brisbane. 


Novita (Speech Pathologist)

What are your favourite things about being a Speechie?

I love being a speechie because I get to connect with families, be creative and learn new things every day. 

What is your Favourite book or movie?

Eleanor Oliphant is Completely Fine - Gail Honeyman. 

Favourite food?

Mum's Indonesian cooking.

Why do you like working with children and young people?

I love how much I learn from them.

Monday - Friday 

What's your favourite joke?

What do birds eat for breakfast? Tweet-bix! 

What do you love to do in your spare time?

Walk my dog, enjoy live music, cook and eat. 


Charlotte (Speech Pathologist)

What are your favourite things about being a Speechie?

Hearing stories from parents and kids about their achievements when communicating

What is your Favourite book or movie?

I like crime/thriller books.

Favourite food?

This really depends on my mood but typically anything full of flavour.

Why do you like working with children and young people?

I love their enthusiasm and their desire to learn new things.

What days do you work?:

Monday - Thursday

What do you love to do in your spare time?

Spending time with my kids and seeing them exploring the world with wonder and awe. I also enjoy being creative and will often experiment with different arts and crafts.
